Antonios Greek Bakery & Café
Welcome, food enthusiasts, to my latest culinary adventure at Antonio's Greek Bakery & Café, a charming gem nestled in Anchorage, Alaska. If you’re on a quest for authentic Greek cuisine, look no further. Antonio's is not just a restaurant; it's an experience steeped in rich flavors and warm hospitality.
As I approached the café located at 3020 Minnesota Dr Suite 19A, the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and grilled meats wafted through the air, beckoning me inside. Although dine-in services are temporarily on hold, the atmosphere inside remains vibrant and welcoming. While waiting for my order, I found myself swaying to the delightful sounds of traditional Greek music.
Antonio's menu showcases a delightful array of dishes that pay homage to Greek culinary traditions. Here are some highlights:
- Greek Salad: A hearty serving featuring large slices of feta, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and olives resting on a bed of crisp lettuce, all drizzled with quality olive oil. At just $17.00, it’s perfect for a satisfying dinner for one.
- Pastitsio: This comforting pasta dish, adorned with a rich meat filling and a creamy Bechamel sauce, is a hit with both young and adult diners alike for $22.00.
- Lahanodolmades: Cabbage rolls stuffed with a flavorful mix of spiced meat and rice are served with a luscious avgolemono sauce for $22.00. This dish embodies the warmth of home-cooked meals.
- Moussaka: A classic layered dish featuring eggplant, rich meat sauce, and creamy béchamel that transcends the ordinary and delights the palate.
And let’s not forget the delightful dining options. The gyros are praised as “the best” alongside the spanakopita, which has garnered rave reviews for its flaky pastry and savory filling. The dessert offerings are equally enticing, with customers raving about the baklava and the seasonal melonmakarona, which perfectly encapsulate the festive spirit. Antonio’s Pineapple Baklava has even been described as “magnificent,” with many claiming that the delightful indulgence should not be missed.
Antonio's Greek Bakery & Café is not just about the food; it’s about the love and dedication that goes into every dish. The owner exudes warmth and a personal touch that makes every visit special. As Deborah Barta noted, the atmosphere is friendly and communal, providing a perfect backdrop for enjoying great Greek music and hearty meals.
For those who value local businesses, Antonio’s is a wonderful haven that supports the community while offering a slice of Greece. With generous portions and delicious offerings at reasonable prices, every meal becomes a memory to cherish.
Whether you're a resident of Anchorage or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Antonio's Greek Bakery & Café at (+1 907-646-1090). Prepare yourself for a culinary experience that celebrates the richness of Greek culture, all while enjoying the friendly charm of a local favorite.

I love supporting local restaurants. The owner is so adorable and so personable. Dine in is temporarily closed, it is only take out only however you can wait in there while the food is prepared and then listen to some good Greek songs.

We got gyros and by far the best spanakapita I've ever tasted. The baklava was incredible and he introduced us to melomakarona, which tasted like the holidays and happiness. Will definitely be going back to try dining in to get more of this delicious food!

Antonio’s entrees are consistently yummy with massive portions. Lemon chicken is a favorite and the meat pie is satisfying. Do not skip the dessert!

The Pineapple Baklava is exciting to think about. It was magnificent. The Gyro plate was very filling so I only had room for one Baklava, not both, but it was still very tasty with a Mocha the next day.
